Correction: Shawn repeatedly mentions the Pinochet regime in reference to the new Pope, but the new Pope is from Argentina, the Dirty War occurred in Argentina; Pinochet’s regime was in Chile. He doesn’t know why he did that, he writes it off as a brain fart.

Loved Jamilia. The background of the new Pope is shocking, but hardly unexpected. Any pope now the Catholic church is gonna wake up and elect a Pope that isn’t a totally disgusting human being – it’d be a pretty shit meme if it didn’t and is already on the road to auto-Darwinate… or maybe they’d like to, only there aren’t any Catholics senior enough who aren’t totally disgusting human beings…

Right. In 1971 The Who said “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, yet every year it feels like “Here comes the new Boss, same as the old Boss…”. I’m with George Carlin on the root causes of that one…
